Cherupushparam was started on 19 March 1968. The Church was blessed on 23rd December 1969 by Mar Sebastian Vayalil, the then bishop of Pala. St. Joseph’s Province started the minor seminary here in 1992, and the present building was blessed by Mar Joseph Pallikkaparambil, the then Bishop of Pala on 30th September 2002. New Ashram Chapel was Blessed on 21-11-2019
