Social Welfare Technical School Association was established by Very Rev. Fr. Basilius
Panatt CST, the founder of the Little Flower Congregation, on August 1, 1967, with the help of Misereor, Germany. The Automobile and steel fabrication workshops were started in 1969 as production centers to meet the various needs of the ITI. The ITI was permanently affiliated to the N.C.V.T. of the Government of India in 1969 with
two units of MMV and two units of Fitter Trades. Later the following Trades also started and affiliated with the NCVT. Plumber two units (1978), MMV two units (1993), electricians four units (1994), Electronics four units in (1995), MRAC two units (1995), Welder two units (1998), and Instrument Mechanic four units (2001). The Social Welfare Catholic Association was founded in 1998.

St. Joseph’s Province is one of the four provinces of CST Fathers and work mainly among the poor and the destitute people and villages through its spiritual, social, pastoral and educational mission. St. Joseph Province was erected on March 19, 1994.
